His Excellency the Rector of Taibah University Dr. Adnan Bin Abdullah Al Mazrooa inaugurated today Tuesday 4/7/1434 the fair of male and female students of the Artistic Education Department at the University within the participation of the University in the events of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah: Culture of Islamic Culture of 1434 A.H.- 2013 A.D. including nearly one thousand paintings of the innovations of the University male and female students whose main axis is Al Madinah: Capital of Islamic Culture 2013 A.H.
The Head of the Art Education Department at the Faculty of Education Dr. Waleed Al Yaqeen said that the fair will continue to receive its visitors till coming Monday and it will allocate Thursday 6 Rajab for the women visit. Dr. Al Yaqeen added that the innovations of the male and female students of the Art Education Department came to keep pace with the selection of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah: Capital of Islamic Culture as all artistic works of ceramics and glass manufactured by gypsum, metal, enamel, fabric, textile painting, drawing, photograph, carpentry, wood, designing, decoration, engineering drawing, and photography whose main notion revolves around the occasion. Also, All these paintings will contribute in the cultural tent for the celebration of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah: Capital of Islamic Culture where a fair combining all these innovations at an area of nearly 1500 m. Dr. Al Yakeen expressed his glory and pride of the innovations provided by the University male and female students and the large artistic works, wishing more innovation and brilliance for them.
It is worth mentioning that the Art Education Department at the Faculty of Education was established 36 years ago. The study includes educational and artistic fields in (ceramics, glass manufactured with gypsum- metal and enamel- fabric and textile printing- drawing and photography- carpentry and wood) designing, decoration, engineering drawing, arts history, and art tasting. The Department grants Bachelor degree in Art Education and M.A. degree in Education in the Plastic Arts Specialties (Ceramics- Glass Manufactured with Gypsum- Metal and Enamel).
