The College of Business Administration was established in 1422H under title of ( college of financial and administrative sciences) by Royal Approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Council of Higher Education No. 7 / B / 9173 dated 14/5/1422 AH on the minutes of the 20th session of the Higher Education Board No. 9 / 20 dated 14/2 / 1422H, including approval of the recommendation of the Board of the University of King Abdul Aziz in its fourth session of the academic year 1418/1419 AH. Regarding foundation of the Faculty of Finance and Administrative sciences under the umbrella of King Abdul Aziz University at the branch of Madinah at that time (now : Taibah University,) . In 1931 AH Royal Approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, chairman of the higher education Board on the minutes of the session of the Higher Education Board, the fifty-ninth on 26/4/1431 H, which includes the approval of the restructuring of the College to become its name "Faculty of Business Administration"- Taibah University, consists of the following departments:

1. Management Department.

2. Marketing department.

3. Finance and Economics Department.

4. Department of Management Information Systems.

5. Accounting department

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds and Peace and Prayers be upon the Prophet of those of old and those of later, our Prophet Mohamed, and his family and companions.

What a great words that the Prophet Peace and Prayers be upon him said to this young man who came to the prophet asking him for charity, the Prophet gave him an axe and said: "Go and gather firewood, and I do not want to see you for fifteen days." So he went and gathered firewood and sold it, then he came back, and he had earned ten Dirham. (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) said: "Buy food with some of it and clothes with some."

This prophetic guidance had lifted this man from class of consumers who in need to the class of productive producers in the society. There is no doubt that our role in the College of Business Administration at Taibah University, the city of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, is not part from the great prophetic guidance; as we aim to instill confidence in the students and providing them with the skill and culture of labor market. We seek to support them to adopt free market thinking and to establish effective institutions that contribute in building a bright future for them and their children, by permission of Allah.

The economic turnaround that our beloved country witnesses obliges us to work with one hand and one heart to enable our young men and young women to establish themselves in labor market and to support them in a business community characterized by friendliness and high competitiveness. Our mission is not just to provide them with theoretical information and knowledge, but extend to provide them with the skills and capabilities that increase their chances of success and enable them to develop themselves and their knowledge on an ongoing basis.

The best way for me to end my statement is to quote the words of Allah the Almighty as he commands us: " He it is Who has made the earth subservient to you; so walk in the paths thereof and eat of His provision And to Him will be the resurrection". Surah Almulk, Verse 15
