Dean's Message

It is as honor for me to serve as the Dean of the College of Medical Rehabilitation Sciences at Taibah University. I am indebted to the Almighty for His continued blessings on me and am grateful to all my colleagues and administration to entrust me with this huge responsibility.

The medical rehabilitation college was establishedas a pioneer institution of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Royal Decree of the Supreme Council of Higher Education No. 3/1430, dated 4/7/1430 H. At present, the College comprises of a number of scientific departments for specialisation in the field of Medical Rehabilitation. The college offers Bachelor's degree programmes in Physiotherapy, Respiratory Therapy, and Prosthetics & Orthotics with aims to offer two new Bachelor's programmes in the field of Occupational Therapy and Speech & Hearing Therapy in near future. Moreover, plans to open rehabilitation clinics having recently procured state-of-the-art equipment within the University's medical facilities are underway.Although the college is in its infancy, we have produce skilled graduates who are making their mark in providing quality rehabilitation services to the community.

The collegeis committed to achieve the University's vision of becoming an internationally recognized institution having excellent teaching and research facilities; and every effort is being made in line with the strategic plan of the university as well as with the Kingdom's vision 2030 to fulfil this mission.

I believe that with the grace of the Almighty, and through sustained efforts of the staff, faculty and administration; the college will become an institution of excellence in the Kingdom in relation to teaching, research and community service, InshaAllah!

I would like to thank all those who have contributed in the past for the establishment of this college, especially, the former Dean, Dr. Saleh bin Abdul Rahman Bahashwan. I extend my gratitude to the current administrative and academic staff who are and will contribute to the completion of the expansion project.
